Our Story

About Us

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity.”

At Space & Time, we believe meaningful and lasting change begins with understanding. We create space for reflection, time to understand, and support people and organisations to move forward differently.

Our Story

Understanding Before Change

Many people and organisations try to force change before fully understanding the underlying problem.

Through years of working with individuals, families, professionals, and organisations, we noticed the same pattern repeatedly: people were often trying to solve behaviours, conflict, stress, or crisis without fully understanding the emotional, relational, or systemic issues underneath.

Whether supporting families in conflict, individuals experiencing emotional distress, teams under pressure, or organisations navigating change, we saw how quickly people were pushed towards solutions without enough reflection, understanding, or emotional safety.

Space & Time was created from that understanding. Our work is built on the belief that meaningful and sustainable change happens when there is first space to reflect, time to understand, and the right support to move forward differently.

Our Approach

Explore → Understand → Change

Explore

Understand

Change

We believe meaningful and sustainable change begins with space to reflect, time to understand, and the right support to move forward differently.

Explore

Creating Space

We create room to pause, reflect, and look at the situation from different angles. This helps reduce reactivity and opens the door to honest exploration.
Understand

Building Insight

As clarity develops, patterns begin to emerge. Emotions become easier to name, perspectives widen, and the situation becomes easier to understand.
Change

Moving Forward

From this place, change becomes more intentional. Decisions are better informed, communication improves, and next steps feel clearer and more sustainable.

Many people try to change first. We believe change works best when it comes last.

What We Believe

A Philosophy of Change

Space & Time was created not only as a service, but as a philosophy of change.

When people are under pressure, it is natural to look for immediate answers. Yet quick fixes often repeat patterns, create resistance, or address only the surface of a problem.

We believe meaningful progress happens when people and organisations are given space to think clearly, communicate openly, and move forward intentionally.

We believe:

Who We Are

A Multidisciplinary Practice

Space & Time is a multidisciplinary practice offering counselling, mediation, and training & consultancy for individuals, families, professionals, and organisations.

We support people navigating conflict, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and change. We also work with organisations seeking healthier communication, stronger teams, and more reflective ways of working.

Our practice brings together professional experience, relational understanding, and a calm, thoughtful approach to complex situations.

How We Work

Integrative & Relational

We are an integrative and multidisciplinary practice, which means we draw from different professional experiences, therapeutic models, and relational approaches depending on the needs of the individual, family, team, or organisation.

Our work is:

We recognise that every person, relationship, and organisation has its own history, pressures, strengths, and challenges. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions we aim to work alongside people with curiosity, compassion, and professional clarity to help create meaningful and sustainable progress.

Why Our Approach Matters

Movement With Understanding

In complex situations, it can be tempting to focus only on quick action. Yet sustainable change rarely comes from urgency alone.
A family

may need understanding before agreement.

A person

may need emotional safety before change.

A team

may need reflection before improvement.

“Behind every conflict is often a deeper story, emotion, or experience waiting to be understood.”

This is why we place such importance on creating the right conditions for meaningful progress — not just movement, but movement with understanding.

Meet the Founders

The People Behind Space & Time

Ebenezer Adebanjo
Co-Founder & Director of Mediation Services

Ebenezer has over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, families, young people, and communities across the charitable, local authority, and community sectors. His work has focused on supporting people experiencing conflict, breakdown in communication, relationship challenges, and periods of significant change.

His work is centred around creating safe spaces for dialogue, understanding, and positive change. Through his experience in mediation, coaching, and community-focused work, Ebenezer has developed a deep understanding of the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that can affect individuals, families, and communities during times of crisis and transition.

Alongside his mediation and coaching work, Ebenezer also serves as a trustee for several charitable organisations, supporting strategic leadership, governance, and community development. His experience across different sectors continues to shape his approach to leadership, collaboration, and supporting meaningful change.

Before moving into mediation and conflict resolution, Ebenezer worked within procurement and manufacturing industries — experience which continues to inform his practical, solution-focused, and grounded approach today. His work is known for his logical thinking, ability to navigate constructive dialogue, and supporting people to find positive ways forward in complex situations.

Okie Adebanjo
Co-Founder & Clinical Director of Counselling & Consultancy

Okie brings over 15 years of professional experience across therapeutic services, local authorities, charitable organisations, NHS settings, frontline community support services, and organisational consultancy. She is a psychotherapist, mediator, trainer and educator, and consultant, with experience supporting individuals, families, professionals, and organisations through complex emotional, relational, and systemic challenges.

Her professional journey began in client advisory, programme and project management, training, and community support roles, where she worked alongside individuals, families, professionals, and organisations navigating complex emotional, relational, and systemic challenges. Over time, her work expanded to include therapeutic and relational support for individuals, couples, young people, and families navigating trauma, emotional distress, safeguarding concerns, relationship difficulties, and significant life changes.

Okie’s experience across therapeutic and professional settings has given her a deep understanding of the connection between people, relationships, and systems. She recognises that organisations are not only shaped by processes and structures, but by the people within them — their communication, emotional awareness, relationships, and ability to work effectively together.

Alongside her clinical work, Okie supports organisations, leadership teams, and frontline professionals through consultancy, training, reflective practice, and emotional resilience work. She works with organisations to understand and respond to their strategic, operational, and frontline needs, combining therapeutic depth with practical professional experience to help teams develop professional curiosity, emotional intelligence, and relational understanding.
